The West Africa Democracy Solidarity Network (WADEMOS) organized its annual regional CSO convening in Accra, Ghana, from March 4-5, 2025.

The conference, which was themed “Leveraging Solidarity Movement in Defense of Democracy across West Africa: Challenges, Lessons Learnt and Perspectives” brought together pro-democracy actors across the sub-region to reflect on the state of democracy in West Africa.

Afrobarometer Deputy Director of Surveys, Anyway Chingwete presented highlights of findings on democracy in West Africa to set the tone for discussions and informed recommendations.
