Human Rights
We leverage the collective power of pro-democracy civil society groups to protect, promote and advance human rights among our member countries. We provide a united voice on human rights priorities through shared expertise and collaboration. We support member countries to promote, protect and respect internationally recognized human rights principles, standards and practices.
Our human rights work seeks to:
- monitor the state’s compliance with international human rights protocols and standards
- provide technical assistance and build effective and independent national human rights institutions
- create awareness and build consensus on critical human rights challenges, solutions, and protection frameworks
- mobilize and empower the poor and marginalized to seek responses and remedies for human rights injustice, legal protection, legal awareness, and legal aid.
