WADEMOS, CDD-Ghana to Showcase ‘DemoCreative’ at World Movement for Democracy Global Assembly in South Africa

In collaboration with the Ghana Center for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana), the West Africa Democracy Solidarity Network (WADEMOS) is thrilled to join participants from across the world in Johannesburg, South Africa, for the 12th Global Assembly of the World Movement for Democracy.

The World Movement for Democracy is a global network of civil society activists, scholars, parliamentarians, thought leaders, journalists, and funders committed to advancing democracy.

The 12th Global Assembly takes place from November 20-22.

On November 21, WADEMOS and CDD-Ghana will showcase “DemoCreative” and together with creatives from Ghana, Nigeria and The Gambia, lead a conversation on the power of music and art in democratic activism.

DemoCreative is an initiative designed to harness creatives’ unique talents and influence – musicians, poets, actors, playwrights and artists – to promote and advocate for democratic principles and good governance practices in Ghana and Africa.

This project seeks to engage the creative community in promoting democracy and good governance—civic participation, transparency, and accountability—through targeted workshops, collaborative campaigns, public forums, and concerts.
